The event started a few hours before the sunset: Jazz-NEXT band performed jazz improvisation, and passers-by of all ages, from 15 to 75, slowed down and, forgetting about their business and plans, took their seats right in the street to listen to good music and get away from their usual hustle and bustle.

When it’s got dark, the walls of St.Nicholas the Wonderworker church began to turn into the canvas on which Holy Week icons were projected. This scene was accompanied by singing of church choir. Onlyview software helped to process the entire iconographic material without distortion or loss of image quality with consideration of the relief of the church walls, thus allowing to recreate masterpieces of Russian and Byzantine iconography in their original integrity and incredible height.

Thousands of viewers who came to the White Square that evening could feel the full force of the Great Feast watching this video projection show by ETC Russia and participating in children’s life.

Bringing the project into life would be impossible without participation of popular cafes, bars and restaurants, situated close to the business center: they sold Easter cakes, colored eggs and hot coffee on tables that stood in a semicircle on the square, and all the money was put into special transparent boxes “Gift of life” that later went on to help children. Part of the restaurants transfered charitable donations directly to the fund.
